Section 1: The Benefits Of A Web Site

Q: What benefits are there to investing in a web site?

A: A web site is a bit like a 24/7 digital salesman, whose primary goal is to sell your products and inform your clients. In this day and age, a web site is about as vital as a telephone was to business 50 years ago.

Q: Why Happy Monsters' Studios?

A: The internet is literally teaming with web sites, some excellent, some terrible, but sadly most fall into the just plain average category. At Happy Monsters' we want every site we design for to stand out from this sea of banality, and create something your clients will not only use for information, but actually enjoy visiting.

The key to Happy Monsters success is the time we take to base your site on an instantly recognisable theme. Too many sites look like carbon copies of the next one, with only a different logo and colour scheme to differentiate them. We believe a web site should represent the passion you have for the business/service you run, and so on top of all the usual web site essentials, like sensible layout, informative text, easy contact method, our strongest point is our ability to give your web site a distinctive look and feel, whilst all the time adhering to today's widely regarded web standards.

Section 2: Getting Started

Q: How do we get started?

A: Firstly, if you have any questions or general enquires, then don't hesitate to contact us.

Q: What do you need from me?

A: The first thing we'll do is ask you for a quick meeting, either via phone, e-mail or (if possible) face to face. We always do this just to see what you generally want to get from your web site; if however you just want a quote, then please download our PDF order form, use our online budget planner or contact us direct, and we'll get straight back in touch with an accurate quote.

The following information is needed to give you an accurate a quote as possible

Your name/organisation you represent

Your contact information.

Project description
(Band/Author/Business etc.)

Contents description
(Extra pages/Flash/Heavy Graphics etc.)

Time Scale
(Project completion date)

If you choose to phone us, then please try to have this information at hand, and we should be able to give you a rough estimate whilst you wait on the line. If you are not yet sure of the full contents of the package you want, then you can always upgrade later, though obviously this will affect our initial estimate.

Section 3: The Development Stages:

Q: What are the development stages?

A: The development stages are the process we follow for getting your site from inception to completion. They are:

  • 1: A quote - we'll give you an estimate and await your approval.
  • 2: We'll ask you for a meeting, and come back with a sketched plan of your site.
  • 3: If approved, we'll ask a fifty percent down payment, and then alter our design to fit with any further requirements you have.
  • 4: We'll write (if required) the copy (text) for your web site and pending approval, will integrate it in with the site.
  • 5: We will then upload your site to our own test web space and await approval.
  • 6: Depending on the package you have chosen, you will be offered a chance to change elements of the site until you are satisfied with the results.
  • 7: Upon approval, we will rigorously test and upload your site.
  • 8: Pending our final payment, we will submit your site to all major search engines and optimize your results.

Q: How long will it take?

A: We can usually have any basic three page web site designed, created and online inside a two weeks. Needless to say, client approval times and the more additions (pages/graphics/copy) you want for your site will effect this estimate, but take two weeks as a good average for a basic site.

Q: How do you test the web site?

A: Due to the number of internet browsers currently used, it is important to thoroughly test your web site for amongst other things, browser compatibility, download speed, bugs, colour consistency, roll over effects, animations, etc. We continually test your site, but once it's online we will spend as long as it takes to make sure it works flawlessly, before we put it up for public viewing.
