Section 1: None Listed Work

Q: I have a project which isn't listed in your What We Do section, can you complete it?

A: As experienced graphic designers, there are very few projects we are unable to accomplish. As a rule we usually work for €35 an hour, so any non listed projects, will usually be charged at this rate. If you are a business or corporation looking for specific promotional work, (greeting cards, calendars, or p.o.s. advertising etc.) then please contact us and we can discuss the project with you.

Q: I need specific features on my web-site, not listed under your web-site package.

A: We believe in playing to our strengths, and so nothing which we're not 100 percent certain we can complete is listed. However, if you require a specific function for your web-site, (such as a shopping basket) then we have links to some fine freelance talent who we will be able to contract to complete that element of your site.

Section 2: Are You The Best Value‏

Q: You say that you are amongst the cheapest service providers for this type of work, yet I know of places which will do me plenty of design work for a little less than you guys.

A: Check their small print, and have a good look at their examples. Nine times out of ten these businesses - whilst certainly offering what they say - will not be using anything more than the very basics to create the work you need. Normally any place like this will simply use stock images, a few limited Photoshop® tricks, and play around a bit with fonts and text sizes. In most cases it's less than an hours work, and whilst this may suit some, we offer a significant cut above this sort of work.

For something as basic as a logo, we will usually have used every tool at our disposal, and when required we will also produce original art; something which a lot of these businesses either charge a fortune for or cannot offer in the first place. Happy Monsters' Studios is based on original art and creative ideas, and for the time and effort we put into each project, we feel that we offer the best service available, even more so when you compare our prices to other businesses offering a similar standard of work.

Section 3: Stock Designs

Q: Do you have any cheap stock designs I could use?

A: Something a lot of graphic designers are starting to offer nowadays, is the ability to buy pre-made artwork or the licensing of artwork etc. This is a fine idea, and will suit the needs of many bands or authors who are on an extremely tight budget. However, at Happy Monsters' we don't want to provide bands or authors with artwork which does not specifically fit with the creative needs of your product. This being said, at the moment we do have a healthy selection of examples, which we have created purely to market our own skills. It would be a shame to allow these pieces to stagnate, so if you feel that any of the examples shown would suit your project, then get in touch and we'll sort something out.

Section 4: Where Did You Get That Name From?

Q: What inspired your name?

A: Well, in an unusual twist, the logo came before the name, and the name came before the business. Chrischa was just doodling one day, I had a look over her shoulder and the Happy Monster was born. Years later when she decided to take the plunge and start this business, she decided to bring back the Happy Monster as a fun and friendly image face for the business.
